Student Debt Panel at University of Miami

As the cost of college skyrockets and financial aid shrinks, debt hits students and families hard, limiting opportunity and mobility for millions of Americans.  This panel will discuss the current student debt situation in this country, steps students can take to decrease their debt, and strategies to campaign against increased student debt.

The panel will feature Rebecca Thompson, legislative director at the United States Student Association; Chris Lindstrom, with Student Public Interest Research Groups; and Michael Dannenberg, director of the Education Policy Program at the New America Foundation.  The panel will be moderated by Campus Progress' Pedro de la Torre III.
