Conversations with Daschle: Tom Ricks on U.S. Policy in Iraq

December 04, 2007
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

For most Americans, the conflict in Iraq remains the single most important foreign policy issue facing our country.  It has been almost five years since the U.S. led invasion of Iraq, and more than 162,000 American soldiers are still serving in the country.  Senator Tom Daschle, in conjunction with the Georgetown Public Policy Institute and Campus Progress, the youth outreach division of The Center for American Progress, will host a discussion with Tom Ricks, two-time Pulitzer Prize winning military correspondent for The Washington Post. He is also the author of Fiasco: The American Military Adventure in Iraq, which was a #1 New York Times bestseller, and he recently returned from a trip to Iraq where he interviewed senior military leaders. Senator Daschle and Tom Ricks will discuss U.S. policy in Iraq and will answer questions from the audience.
