Tell Your Senator to Vote for AB131

Action on AB 131, better known as the second part of the California DREAM Act, is being stalled in the California State Senate.

Today, activists all over the state will rally to put pressure on key legislators to pass the bill that will make higher education more accessible to undocumented students.

AB 131 would make qualified immigrant youth in the California State University and University of California systems eligible to receive Cal Grants, or state-based financial aid. This aid is essential to hard-working immigrant students seeking a college education in the face of skyrocketing tuition costs.

If we’re going to pass AB 131, we need to pressure key legislators to act now. This is where you come in.

Appropriations Chairwoman Christine Kehoe and Senate President Pro Tem Darrel Steinberg need to hear from you today!

Join other activists in your community by sending Kehoe and Steinberg a letter to let them know we’re counting on them to pass the second part of the California DREAM Act.
