Pass the DREAM Act

Yesterday, more than 1,000 young people from across the country attended the Campus Progress National Conference and discussed the DREAM Act (S.729). Today, at least four hundred of them are visiting with their Senators to urge them to pass this important piece of legislation.

You can double their impact by sending a letter to your Senator today urging them to support the DREAM Act.

The DREAM Act would create a path to earned citizen for students who were brought to this country as children, and who complete either two years of college or military service.

If Congress fails to act, another entire class of 65,000 outstanding, law-abiding high school students will graduate without being able to plan for the future, and some will be removed from their homes to countries they barely know. This tragedy will cause America to lose a vital asset: an educated class of promising students who have demonstrated a commitment to hard work and a strong desire to be contributing members of our society.
